To optimize our client’s return on investment, Open System Sciences employs only the most qualified and experienced PMP-certified experts capable of managing a wide scope of technical programs.
Our Program Managers are trained to utilize Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) processes and measure Customer Satisfaction in accordance with our ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standard. Industry standard Risk Management practices are employed to mitigate known and unknown risks which threaten successful project management and, if applicable, standards such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) are adapted and implemented.
Open System Sciences achieved ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standard certification in April 2012. Our processes and quality management objectives are documented and reviewed quarterly by our Quality Management Team, as well as annually by an outside auditing agency and an ISO 9001:2008 Registrar. By adhering to our ISO processes, OSS Project Managers are committed to the process of Continuous Quality Improvement which has become an integral part of company culture.
According to the Program Management Institute (PMI), the PMBOK is an inclusive term that describes the sum of knowledge within the Project Management profession. Open System Sciences has adopted the PMBOK five phased methodology of Project Management which can be applied to “most projects, most of the time”. Phases consist of: 1). Initiate 2). Planning 3). Executing 4). Controlling and 5). Closing. Each phase includes detailed tasks which optimize our manager’s ability to provide clients with enhanced management, reporting, and oversight.
Whether utilizing a formal five step Risk Management Program process which includes: 1). Identifying and Assessing Risks 2). Evaluating Risks 3). Mitigating or Controlling Risks 4). Monitoring Risks and 5). Closing Risks, or merely providing a comprehensive quarterly Program Management Review (PMR) which addresses project risk in depth, OSS Project Managers are trained and well-versed in art of Risk Management. As a result, we ensure that our projects are consistently successful by maximizing each and every opportunity to identify, manage, and/or mitigate any risk to a successful outcome. By employing structured Risk Management processes and procedures our managers have established a successful track record for maximizing a project’s likelihood of success and minimizing the chances of schedule, cost, or scope creep.
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a set of practices for IT Service Management (ITSM) that focuses on aligning IT services with the business needs. As an adjunct to ISO and PMBOK processes, OSS also advocates the adoption of current ITIL v3 processes which can be used to further the collection, analysis, production and distribution of information within an organization by aligning the organization’s business needs and customer satisfaction through Continuous Service Improvement. When and where applicable, OSS has certified staff ready to assist in the planning and implementation of ITIL processes in order to maximize our clients’ maximum return on investment throughout the lifecycle of their projects.
